On June 1, 2016, Ms Yingluck filed a lawsuit against Mr Jirachai with the Criminal Court, accusing him of malfeasance in violation of Section 157 of the Criminal Code. At the time, the Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases had not been established. Mr Jirachai earlier testified in court on May 13 that his committee had decided to demand 287 billion baht in damages from her. The Criminal Court on June 10, 2013 dismissed Ms Yingluck's lawsuit. The Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases has scheduled April 21 for pre-trial examination of evidence and witnesses of both parties, Mr Noppadol said.
